Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote)

OpsWorks Co. is a Ukraine-based IT engineering company. We specifically focus on providing professional DevOps and System Administration Services, delivering complex Engineering Solutions and Digital Transformation. We are looking to expand our team with an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who will help us to ensure that we meet our customers' demands of service delivery and QoS. The position implies working with the latest technology stack and constant growth within the role. We will work together to build and improve infrastructures, development processes, configuration management, continuous integration and delivery processes to guarantee reliability, availability and high performance of the underlying environments. This is a full-time and a long-term position.

You will be responsible for:

• System administration and DevOps support of worldwide development teams;

• Cloud architecture design and implementation;

• Continuous integration and continuous delivery implementation;

• Infrastructure and applications monitoring;

• Automating routine processes;

• Microservices infrastructure building, support and improvement.

Your Qualifications/Skills:

• At least 6 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering or SRE;

• Outstanding knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP);

• Apache and nginx knowledge;

• Deep understanding of virtualization concepts;

• Hands on experience implementing High Available and High Load systems;

• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash);

• Programming experience (Web development, OOP understanding);

• Experience with at least one configuration management tool: Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack, Chef;

• CI/CD implementation practice using tools like Jenkins, GitLab or similar;

• Monitoring and logging solutions experience;

• RDBMS and NoSQL databases administration skills;

• Proven experience working with Git;

• Experience working with at least one of the following clouds: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud;

• Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes or similar);

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as a code paradigm (e.g. terraform);

• Understanding of QA and code testing;

• Upper-Intermediate English level is a must, Ukrainian or Russian native;

• Strong time management skills;

• Deep interest in DevOps streaming.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of microservices architecture concepts;

• Understanding of serverless computing;

• Remote working experience.
