Middle DevOps Engineer (PST Business Hours)

OpsWorks Co. is a Ukraine-based IT engineering company. We specifically focus on providing professional DevOps and System Administration Services, delivering complex Engineering Solutions and Digital Transformation. We are looking to expand our team with an experienced Middle DevOps Engineer who will help us to ensure that we meet our customers' demands of service delivery and QoS. The position implies working with the latest technology stack and constant growth within the role. We will work together to improve clients infrastructure development, configuration management, continuous integration and delivery processes to guarantee reliability, availability and high performance of the underlying environments. This is a full-time and a long-term position.

You will be responsible for:

• System administration and DevOps support of worldwide development teams;

• Cloud architecture design and implementation;

• Continuous integration and continuous delivery implementation;

• Infrastructure and applications monitoring;

• Automating routine processes;

• Mentoring junior engineers.

Your Qualifications/Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering or SRE;

• Outstanding knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP);

• Apache and Nginx knowledge;

• Understanding of virtualization concepts;

• Experience with High Available and High Load systems;

• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash);

• Programming fundamentals (ability to read code);

• Experience with at least one configuration management tool: Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack, Chef;

• CI/CD implementation practice using tools like Jenkins, GitLab or similar;

• Monitoring knowledge;

• RDBMS and NoSQL databases administration skills;

• Comfortable working with git;

• Docker experience;

• Understanding of infrastructure as a code paradigm (e.g. terraform);

• Upper-Intermediate English level is a must, Ukrainian or Russian native;

• Deep interest in DevOps streaming.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);

• Container orchestration experience (ECS, K8s or similar)

• Understanding of microservices architecture concepts;

• Understanding of QA and code testing.
