Database Architect

We are looking for a Database architect to join our large team of professionals

You will be a part of the existing big team responsible for core services that help keep the business running, e.g. package tracking, courier delivery, transportation, sorting hub, self-service terminal, operator workspace, client app. These services are tightly integrated with many other systems within the company to handle a unique and complex domain logic under mission-critical and highload constraints.

Required skills:

• 7+ years of database implementation, operations and solution deployment experience in a business-critical and high-availability context

• Expertise in database theories and principles

• Experience in adopting database automation best practices

• Understanding of the underlying infrastructure requirements

• Proficiency in database maintenance, performance tuning, replication, partitioning, migration and fail-over

• Knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL architectural fundamentals

Responsibility:

• You will be responsible for providing leadership and hands-on expertise in assessing, designing, planning and implementing enterprise-wide databases used by core services

• Proactively promote and adopt database automation best practices and solutions
