QA Engineer

Itera is looking for QA Engineer to join project for big Norwegian customer.

Customer is an international accredited registrar and classification society headquartered in Hovik, Norway. The company currently has about 14,500 employees and 350 offices operating in more than 100 countries, and provides services for several industries including maritime, renewable energy, oil & gas, electrification, food & beverage and healthcare. Project is a Structure Integrity Management tool which serves for quality control for more than 430 assets like vessels, oil&gas tanks, electric pylons, etc.

Qualified candidate has to be initiative, fast learning person that can quickly grasp technical and business aspects of the specified industry. Strong communication skills are essential.

Short trips to Norway are possible.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Being main responsible for testing at the project and product quality
• Estimate and plan test activities in the project
• Communicate with business users, developers
• Ongoing manual functional testing
• Perform bug tracking and reporting
• Collecting and structure information in a Knowledge Base (Wiki, SharePoint)
• Support acceptance testing by end users
• Report to PM and client

Professional requirements:

• At least 3+ year experience within software testing
• Experience of doing overall QA & Testing in project
• Deep understanding of core testing processes
• Experience in test planning and estimating
• Knowledge of bug tracking tool(s) and process
• Experience in creating test cases, test design
• Experience of work in distributed environment, dynamic team
• Experience with web-services testing
• Experience of direct communication with client

Be a plus:

• Experience in Azure DevOps (Test Plan)
• ISTQB certification
