Java Developer

Skelia is looking for a strong Java Developer for long-term and full-time employment at its service center in Lviv, Ukraine. Within a superb team in an international working environment, where you'll be working for a leading player in transportation management software headquartered in Brussels and Vienna.

MISSION

• You will code and test full-stack Java-based web application software based on an Agile methodology
• This involves the use of user stories, acceptance criteria, and other system engineering artefacts as part of an Agile team 
• Use object-oriented principles to ensure that developed code is maintainable, efficient, reliable, understandable, secure and fault-tolerant 
• You will help guide the project and mentor the team on best practices, architectural patterns defined within the company 
• Help design software architecture for new systems or upgrades to existing systems using best-of-breed web-based technologies 
• You will use software tools in cooperation with continuous integration and test automation while supporting software reuse and refactoring 
• Interface with software engineers, system engineers, quality assurance, and other products team members 
• Provide Technical Support for the customers inquiries and technical problems resolution from the live application on occasions as the third level of support

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience with Java EE applications: Hibernate JPA / EJB 3.0 
• Experience with Git, Maven build scripts & Jenkins 
• Experience with Atlassian Products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) 
• Experience with WebLogic / Jboss WildFly 
• Experience (basic) with Oracle RDBMS or PostgreSQL 
• Experience with Angular as future UI direction will be a plus 
• Experience with cloud (currently AWS but migration planned to Azure) & optionally with Kubernetes (preferably OpenShift) 
• High level of spoken and written English 
• Team player with good communication skills
