QA automation engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join a skilled cross-functional team to work on our company. You will join a team of automation engineers and manual testers, who work across several project teams.

Roles & responsibilities:

* Work as a member of a cross-functional team

* Participate in Agile sprints including user story estimation and task creation

* Drive to complete tasks within the sprint

* Design, develop and maintain automated test cases

* Design and execute manual test cases

* Use Jira (or other tracking system) to report and manage defects through to successful resolution

* Work with our Dev team to help manage environments and releases

* Improve the team's quality assurance tools and processes

* Be able to plan your own work, navigate within multiple priorities, demonstrate strong ability to execute against the deadlines

* Have advanced English communication skills both written and spoken

Required:

* Manual testing experience (preferably web)

* Automation experience, ideally with Selenium WebDriver

* Experience in an Object Orientated Programming language (ideally Java, JavaScript/Protractor)

* Strong debugging skills

* Database querying skills

* Good communication skills

* A collaborative mindset

* Rest API testing skills (ideally Postman)

Nice to have:

* A Computer Science / Engineering degree or similar

* Automated performance testing experience (e.g. JMeter)

* Cross-browser/device testing experience - manual (mobile devices) or automated (e.g. Appium)

* Experience with CI / CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)

* Experience testing web services

* Experience working with Agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)

* An ISEB/ISTQB qualification

* Experience of direct communication with clients
