Our client, a Western manufacturing company, part of a worldwide group, is seeking a robust Purchasing professional to join an international team as

 Purchasing Project Leader

Place of work: Ternopil

The role reports to Project Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A technical university degree;
• 10+ years of experience in negotiating/purchasing technical products internationally, preferably in the automotive, electronic/electrical engineering areas;
• Project management competence — high level;
• A high level of commercial awareness and excellent communication skills; 
• Ability to influence business partners and suppliers, as well as the ability to be assertive;
• Ability to work in an autonomous mode;
• Fluent English.
• Be willing to work in Ternopil and occasionally ?go on business trips abroad;

Responsibilities:

• Participate in development of new projects with focus on project related procurement together with the project team:
• Conduct market screening and develop a procurement strategy to source new reliable suppliers of components in Eastern Europe;
• Prepare complete Request For Information (RFI), follow up offers from suppliers and attend negotiation meetings with suppliers:
• Act as an interface between the project team and suppliers;
• Negotiate/finalize contracts together with project team; ?
• Define and manage opportunities and risks per project.?
