Nurse (Severodonetsk)

General purpose of the position

Provide capacity building in the subjects of HIV and opportunistic infections and rapid tests to HCW in collaborative health care facilities according to protocols of MSF and MoH in Ukraine as well as ensure the quality of care for the targeted population. Implement MSF activities and ensure correct use and receival of items provided by MSF.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Know, promote, implement and follow at all times the protocols and guidelines by MSF and MoH regarding HIV and opportunistic infections as well as infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures relevant.
2. Respect medical secrets and confidentiality at all time.
3. Participate in implementing activities, capacity building and immunization programs in collaborative health care facilities. 
4. Mentor the team with special focus in following all appropriate protocols and procedures and ensuring teamwork.
5. Work in close collaboration with translators in order to ensure that appropriate terminology is used.
6. Inform the supervisor and the healthcare team about any issues or problems that may arise related to beneficiaries’ treatment in order to provide the best possible solution from a healthcare perspective.
7. Carry-out and supervise administrative procedures and documents (fill in forms, consumptions, statistics, etc.); ensure an appropriate written/oral hand over and report any problematic situations and cases that may arise. Fill in all necessary registers, participate in data collection and keep supervisors informed.

Requirements:

Education:

Essential degree/diploma in Nursing.

Experience:

• Clinical experience with HIV and with People living with HIV is an asset.
• Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs.

Languages:

• Fluent Ukrainian, Russian and good level of English language is an asset.

Job location: Severodonetsk and other locations in Luhansk Oblast.

Type of agreement: Civil law agreement three to six months – Open for extension.
