Medical Doctor (Severodonetsk)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Together with medical team, observe and provide medical technical support to Ministry of Health (MoH) partners caring for patients with HIV/TB/hepatitis according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, protocols, values and universal hygiene standards of MSF to improve the patients' health conditions.
2. The support will be given to different medical facilities in Luhansk Oblast. The employee is expected to regularly visit all of them according to the planned schedule. This role is not a clinical one, meaning that the employee will not make direct consultations to the patients.
3. To work in close cooperation with doctors of the Trust Cabinets (TC) with the purpose of ensuring the best possible care in accordance with MSF and WHO protocols, including early identification and management of Advanced HIV disease and opportunistic infections.
4. Provision of support to Advanced HIV patients in the IPD for the HIV infected with the purpose of provision of the best possible care, treatment of opportunistic infections, early diagnostics of the extrapulmonary tuberculosis, cryptococcal meningitis and other opportunistic infections in accordance with the MSF and WHO protocols.
5. Participate in the discussion about pharmacy issues by giving inputs about consumption, prevailing adverse reactions, rational/irrational drug use, and medical equipment use.
6. Participate actively in all other medical/administrative activities of the project, including:
7. Participate in the collection, analysis of epidemiological data, checking its validity and informing the line manager or project coordinator about any problem or complication of the patients' illness, medical error and monitors the proper functioning of the department, equipment or material.
8. Participate actively in project meetings, when required.
9. Represent MSF in external meetings, conferences, or workshops when required.
10. Collaborate with partner organizations, NGOs towards improving patients' health conditions.

Requirements:

Education:

Medical Doctor diploma

Experience:

• 5 year experience as medical doctor managing HIV patients.
• Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs

Languages:

• English language is essential

Job location: Severodonetsk and other locations in Luhansk Oblast.
