Head of Drivers

HEAD OF DRIVERS

Main duties:

• Ensuring safe transportation of MSF personnel and material.
• Supervising a team of drivers through monitoring and evaluating their performance.
• Ensuring compliance with all national rules, safety regulations and MSF instructions.
• Ensuring drivers are responsible for maintenance and service of their assigned vehicles.
• Ensuring preparing and overseeing the drivers' work schedule in coordination with Medical Teams & Coordination.
• Ensuring that drivers perform daily and weekly checks of vehicles and perform the correct filling of movement Log sheet & fuel log sheets.
• Ensure that timely renewal of Insurances for all cars.
• Performing monthly checks of the vehicle inventory, documentation and first aid kit together with the responsible driver.
• Facilitate the line manager in recruitment of drivers through conduct of driving & technical assessments of the candidates.
• Coordinating and supervising the associated resources (drivers) and fleet management to ensure adequate service in terms of organizing availability of drivers, vehicles to drive, duty rosters and replacements in case of absence, and fuel control. Organizing training courses for drivers.
• Checking and ensuring that safety procedures are implemented in all vehicles & drivers are briefed on incident response matrix.
• Reporting any problems with the vehicles (mechanical, accidents...) to the line manager / technical referent as well as preparing monthly reports on services, spare parts, consumption, etc. of each vehicle.
• Ensuring maintenance on the fleet of vehicles to be in perfect working order and that cars are serviced at the desired time to ensure good use of it and be able to deliver services.
• Looking after all, equipment related to vehicles and driver.
• Facilitate coordination of inter-city moves between coordination & project.
• Facilitate efforts of the Logistics supervisor in compiling monthly report for fuel consumption & service of vehicles.
• Ensure leave planning of drivers are in line with operational needs of the project. Be the focal point for daily movements & establishing a mechanism for real time reporting.
• When needed, perform the duties of a driver for transportation of personnel & material.
• Assist Logistics supervisor in management of MSF Project infrastructure like, houses, offices & project locations.
• Assist Logistics Supervisor in log activities beyond fleet management if needed.

Education:

• Essential literacy, driving license and expert mechanic skills.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years previous experience as a driver & mechanic.

Languages:

• Russian, Ukrainian, English is essential.

Type of agreement: Civil law agreement.

Monthly gross salary (before taxation): 18162 UAH
