Job Title: Finance Officer 

Location: Lviv 

Starting date: ASAP

Salary and conditions: Salary will be defined based on incumbent's experience and competences in accordance with the TGH's salary scale and terms and conditions.

Established in 1994, TGH (Triangle Generation Humanitaire) is a French international solidarity organization based in Lyon. The organization implements emergency, humanitarian, rehabilitation and development programs in WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, Shelter/Rehabilitation, Education and Protection sectors. TGH currently operates in 10 countries in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe.

TGH applies a 'zero tolerance' policy with regard to all misconduct affecting the professional credibility of its employees: TGH staff; partners (local or international) and service providers.

TGH strongly condemns all corporal punishment or physical violence, threats of physical violence, sexual abuse or exploitation, harassment and verbal abuse, as well as all other forms of intimidation.

Presentation of the mission:

Operational in Ukraine since 2016 from Kramatorsk to support the most vulnerable populations affected by the conflict in the Donbass region, TGH wishes to continue and strengthen its intervention in Ukraine. In view of the current situation, part of the team has been forced to move to Lviv, a city that now hosts the entire humanitarian and diplomatic community, to ensure its safety. It is therefore from Lviv, located on the western border and still spared by the fighting, that TGH intends to propose an action to respond to the most urgent humanitarian needs.

ROLE PURPOSE: Under the supervision of Finance Coordinator  will ensure timely and quality financial and administrative support to the Support Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility 1: Accountancy

Responsibility 2: Management of filing system

Responsibility 3: Administrative tasks

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility 1: Accountancy:

  • Ensure daily and proper registration of all transactions in the bank register in accordance with the approved procedures. 
  • Ensure proper cost allocation and verifying the expenditure details.
  • Keep record of daily transactions in the monthly financial reports.
  • Timely submission of accounting and all relevant financial and administrative documents to HQ in accordance with agreed procedures and required standards.
  • Ensure that expenses in accounting are in line with the budget.

Responsibility 2: Management of filing system:

  • Ensure adherence to TGH archiving rules.
  • Ensure proper management of filing system including of administrative, finance, and related documents in accordance with agreed TGH procedures.
  • Ensure all documents are stamped according the donor rules.
  • Ensure back up of all financial and  administrative documents.

Responsibility 3: Administrative tasks:

  • Prepare administrative documents (orders, letters, PAF,  etc). 
  • Work in good coordination with  Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Logistic Manager. 

Tasks and responsibilities are subject to modifications according to the needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Higher education degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Previous experience in the accountancy.
  • Previous experience in a humanitarian organization is a clear advantage.
  • Good knowledge of  MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT) experience in Saga will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Humanitarian principles.
  • Good writing and speaking skills.
  • Languages: Ukrainian and Russian: Fluent speaking and writing.
  • English: Intermediate. Higher level of English is a clear  asset.
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of TGH.
  • Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Very good inter-personal skills – Team player.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Able to adapt his/her posture to her/his interlocutor.
  • Good understanding of internal communication and reporting schemes.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
