Assignment

The IMPACT Ukraine mission, present in country since 2014, is shifting its focus and programmatic activities from the Donbas area to the whole of Ukraine. To support this scale-up, IMPACT is seeking a candidate to assist in the implementation of Finance policies, procedures and systems and ensure compliance with ACTED/REACH procedures and guidelines.

Under the direct supervision of IMPACT Finance Officer, the Finance Assistant is primarily responsible for providing support to the IMPACT Finance Officer in managing all aspects of day-to-day operations of accounting department in the Field office.

FUNCTIONS 

• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable in Excel and SAGE + SAGA.
• Support in update/upload SAGA/SAGE (Impact accountancy).
• Support Impact/Reach staff in preparation (PC\BL).
• Checking with logistics – IT \Supplies lines.
• Daily Payments file (Check \ control \ update).
• Assist for Finance Officer in preparations (checking) of Reports (Amendment\NCE)
• Assist for Finance Officer in Prepare/check/ update BoQs and forward inputs into budget template.
• Assist in process of forecasting expenses. Support on control and analyze the costs of REACH dedicated costs to improve budgeting and increase financial visibility.
• Relocations (check payments\allocations, etc.)
• Support in updating Allocation table.
• Assist in preparing reports to the REACH/IMPACT/ACTED superiors.
• Support on the mid-year and annual closure by cross-checking between ACTED and IMPACT accountancy 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics
• Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, Accountant, or similar role

 TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets, Pivots and using financial functions: INDEX/MATCH/SUMIF etc.)
• Intermediate and higher level of English
• Extreme attention to details, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
• Able to work in a high-pressure situation.
• Ability to independently organize work, prioritize task and manage time.
• Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual

 Terms and Conditions

This full time post is for an initial 6 months, with the possibility of renewal following successful completion. We offer a competitive salary, in line with the candidate’s experience and skills.
