Assignment

Under the supervision of the AGORA Assessment Officer in Kyiv, the AGORA Assessment Officer will support the implementation of the ACTED-AGORA programme focused on supporting local authorities in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts in developing local development strategies using robust evidence. Using the findings of a large-scale multi-sectorial assessment, the project will link relevant aid actors and local stakeholders through a series of consultations and workshops in order to facilitate the development of five hromada-level recovery plans.

The incumbent will support the project team with the elaboration of the local development plans, by supporting outreach with external partners, but also helping with the development of internal and external communication materials, supporting drafting of the plans with ad hoc translations or analysis etc...

He / she will work with local authorities, international organizations, UN agencies; and with the project team.

REMUNERATION 26 965 UAH gross per month

FUNCTIONS

Data analysis

• Regular monitoring of resource centers, official websites and assessments conducted by local authorities or other NGOs
• Analise and aggregate findings of quantitative and qualitative data when required
• Support the development of local development plans through data analysis and visualization

Output production

• Contribute in drafting factsheets and reports using InDesign
• Providing translation and proofreading of AGORA products
• Ensure adequate storage and filing of all assessment related documents

Engagement with local authority

• Ensure efficient liaison with all external partners, especially local authorities, through proactive engagement and dissemination of the research findings
• Preparing and conducting presentations on AGORA activities and products during meetings with local partners

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• University level education in social sciences, political sciences, research or relevant field

Technical requirements

• At least 1 year of progressively responsible experience in data collection and/or report writing and or drafting of analytical products
• Excellent presentation skills
• At least 1 year of experience in working with local authorities and NGOs in humanitarian/development context
• Prior professional experience with Adobe products (indesign in particular) preferred
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Power Point skills
• Understanding and familiarity with structures of datasets and frequency tables
• Previous experience in managing complex professional relationships
• Fluency in Ukrainian
• Good command of English (at least Intermediate level B1)
