Senior Java / Web Frontend engineer, HERE

Project Overview:

The Venue Maps team is focused on building tools and SDK that enables creation, rendering and navigation of indoor maps.Team is building web tool to create new and manage existing indoor maps that enables both internal and external partners to provide best in class indoor maps and guided navigation to the last meter.

As a member of the team you will be:

• Developing web tooling for venue owners to claim and maintain indoor maps, including full geometry editing;
• You'll be working directly with our back-end team in close co-operation with design, product and business people.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science or similar;
• Minimum 4 years' experience of frontend engineering;
• Experience building frontend for web sites with JavaScript, frameworks, like React;
• Experience with CSS compilers (SASS, LESS) and build tools (Webpack, etc.);
• Experience with cross browser development;
• Unit & Integration Testing experience;
• Experience with source control system GIT;
• Experience working with software configuration management, deployment, and continuous integration tools;
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix development environment, including shell scripting is a plus.

Following would be a big plus:

• Java application design and coding experience using Java/J2EE;
• Experience with one or more RDB's & SQL;
• Experience with non-RDB databases;
• Knowledge and experience of using Tomcat;
• Familiarity with Maven, Gradle;
• Experience with Cloud Computing (Amazon WS);
• Experience with Gerrit.
