Business Controller

The Financial controller position will join the finance team of a growing global business and report directly to the CFO. The Financial controller will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the finance team.

The financial controller will be responsible for:

• Timely and efficient management reporting on a consolidated basis
• Comparison of financial performance against forecast
• Annual preparation of financial projections
• Manage, design and control bespoke performance reports that identify trends and patterns of trading performance
• Assistance with Board report preparation
• Performance management of finance team
• Day to day review and control of the accounting function
• Review of quarterly VAT returns
• Review of tax returns
• Liaising with auditors during the year

Beneficial skills will be:

• Background in financial or sports betting trading operations;
• Understanding of sports trading.

You will have had experience of:

• Managing people;
• Good communication skills;
• Consolidation of groups;
• preparing board/executive reports;
• Foreign currency accounting;
• Maltese tax law and other local regulatory requirements;
• A strong accounting back ground.
