Microsoft SQL DBA Junior/Middle

Overview

New York-based technology company with Lviv, Ukraine branch seeking a DBA (Database Administrator) for an existing long-term project with a US client. You must have at least two (2) years of experience as a Microsoft SQL DBA.

You would be working in a team in our Lviv office, where you can make a huge impact and work with great team members.

Experience:

• At least 2 (two) years of experience with Microsoft SQL administration, preferably within the financial services industry
• SQL Server (strong)
• SQL Server Integration Services (basic)
• Pre-intermediate English level

Will be a big plus:

• Azure Data Factory experience
• Azure SQL experience
• Azure Data Warehouse experience
• SQL Server Analysis Services
  
• Microsoft SSIS/SSRS
• Experience in financial service industry SaaS products
• Data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI
• Coding experience with .Net and PowerShell
• One or more relevant Microsoft certifications: MCAP, MCTS, MCDBA

Responsibilities:

• Data ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading)
• Determining missing/inaccurate data
• Database backups configuration
• Databases data replication configuration
• Configuration for best security logins, users management
• Data (tables/columns) encryption
• Tuning/Performance monitoring
• Database Management System patching and maintenance
• Database documentation development
• Develop and maintain data warehouse
• PowerBI integration (or similar kind of tool)
• Determining database problems and providing suggestions of how to improve
