Accounting Payables Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Payables Supervisor for maintaining controls in financial accounting of all AP entries in the ERP system and maintaining accurate reconciliation and timely update of operating supplier balances and statements of account. Must work within the policies and procedures and in compliance with all financial regulations within the company.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABLITIES:

• Provide overall leadership and supervision for payables function in Finance Department according to approved SOP (standard operation procedures).
• Organize and supervise continuous processing of all AP documents flow, including but not limited to incoming vendor invoices, supporting backup documents and charges breakdown notes, in line with respective service requests from clients. 
• Organize and supervise the process of accurate recording and consistent accounting of all DOC (direct operating costs) in the ERP system. 
• Organize and supervise the process of continuous vendor operating and accounting balances verification, reconciliation of vendor statements of account, with the purpose of providing the most up to date operating finance information to other business functions, mostly to Operations Control Center, Procurement and Fuel Dispatch for smooth business operations of the whole company. 

• Organize and supervise proper communication with vendors to maintain all AP requests are timely acknowledged and properly actioned.
• Maintain proper communication with company cross-functional business units to coordinate all requested services from clients are being processed without delays from the AP perspective.
• Organize and supervise proper communication with Head Office Treasury Team for timely settlements of all outstanding AP obligations, including also requesting and following up of top priority financial settlement for urgent required business operations.
• Coordination, mentoring and coaching of subordinated payables accountant team.
• Preparing ad hoc financial reporting request, other analysis and special projects as requested by management.

Experience:

Essential:        Minimum 8 years of professional experience with at least 3 years in a similar capacity, preferably in a business with similar processes

Desirable:      Knowledge of the airline/aviation industry.

Qualification:
 Master 's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience 

• CPA /ACCA / CA Qualification is desirable.
