London School of English is looking for CELTA qualified teachers of English for our language schools in Kyiv, Lviv and Odessa, for a late August start.

We offer guaranteed 24-hour contracts, teaching a range of ages and levels, including young learners, adults and preparing students for Pearson and Cambridge exams. Part time contracts are also available. We are particularly interested in teachers with experience of teaching primary age students.

Due to the quarantine in Ukraine, we moved all of our classes online in March 2020. While we intend to return to teach in school in September, we will now have three deliveries: face to face, blended and online. This means that we will be prepared for any further quarantine conditions.

We put significant focus on the development of our teachers. Our in-house professional development program is designed to support you in expanding your teaching knowledge and skills. There are regular input sessions on topics such as classroom management and teaching listening, speaking skills and connected speech, as well as workshops where teachers share their own activities on areas such as teaching young learners and using technology in the classroom.

Teachers are also observed regularly by their mentor and given feedback. Many teachers working with us have been sponsored for the Delta and gone on to management and teacher training roles.

We offer English lessons to all of our local teachers, and sponsorship to acquire international teaching certificates such as CPE and IELTS. As our schools are Cambridge and Pearson exam centres, teachers can train to be speaking examiners.

Qualifications

• Hold a Cambridge CELTA, Trinity certTESOL qualification or equivalent
• Online certificates are not accepted
• Hold a higher education degree
• Have a certifiable C1 level of English for Ukrainian teachers, C2 for non-Ukrainians
• Have at least 18 months experience teaching young learners
• Be willing to teach children and adults
