Regulatory and Compliance lawyer

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with betting/gaming and other legislations and regulations as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards in all jurisdictions in which the business holds licenses
• Ensure smooth process for licensing and certification process in all (existing & new) jurisdictions
• Follow up regulatory development in new potential markets in line with the Group strategy
• Ensure legal and compliance audits and examinations, the dissemination and analysis of new or revised laws and regulations, research on legal and compliance issues, training, and their organizations' overall legal and compliance policies and procedures
• Formulate compliance check-lists to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required is provided accordingly
• Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the department for executive management meetings
• Investigating suspicious transactions and taking the necessary action accordingly
• Investigating and reviewing AML related sanction and PEP alerts
• Assisting on the creation of internal compliance procedures
• Assist the MLRO / Key Official with filing suspicious transactions reports
• Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance with various tasks and matters

 Education, Experience,Skills

• A qualification in compliance/law or the equivalent
• Proficient working knowledge of day-to-day AML, CFT and related legislation and regulation, regulatory compliance
• Knowledge in IT and experience in assisting in Regulatory Audits will be considered an asset
• Knowledge in Remote Gaming Regulations, Responsible Gaming and Data Protection regulations will be considered an asset
• Strong research skills on new markets and regulations
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures
• Good communication skills within the team and external parties is a must
• Excellent verbal and written English and communication skills
• Able to work autonomously and under pressure in a fast and dynamic environment
