Junior PHP Developer

PAE is currently seeking a Ukrainian professional to join our team based in Kyiv, Ukraine, as a Junior PHP Developer in support of the U.S. Department of Justice International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program (ICITAP). This individual will aid in all recruitment and candidate selection activities for the National Police of Ukraine.

The position requires a full-time location within Kyiv, Ukraine. This vacancy announcement is to fill one position and resumes collected may be used to fill future vacancies with similar position descriptions.

Organization Overview

PAE is the prime contractor for the U.S. Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program. ICITAP has maintained a full-time presence in Ukraine since 2005 with the mission of developing the capacities of multiple Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Following the 2014 change of government, ICITAP- Ukraine was instrumental in supporting Ukraine’s desire to deal with the corruption of the previous regime. Over the past decade, ICITAP has conducted more than twenty (20) law enforcement projects in Ukraine, including anti-corruption programs in a half-dozen ministries, cybersecurity efforts, and capacity-building infrastructure improvements. ICITAP has missions in 33 countries worldwide supporting law enforcement training and capacity building in Central America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Pacific Asia.

Providing securing users access to internal information resources

Please Note: This is an Independent Contractor position with PAE, it should not be considered an employment relationship with PAE.

Position description:

Interfaces modification/finishing/development for input/output on frontend;

Describing and AJAX requests processing, (Frontend and server-side), MySQL queries;

Code refactoring;

Improving the automation of a new business process in the existing system.

Position Requirements:

Higher education degree (technical);

Strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL (Maria DB), WordPress;

Skills and knowledge of OOP, Frontend - Backend, MVC architecture;

Skills of complicated SQL querying development - will be plus;

Understanding the SQL server operation specifics - will be plus;

Knowledge of Linux (Debian) - will be plus;

Previous experience working with Git, Yii2 - will be a plus.
