Engility, a SAIC Company (EGL) is currently seeking a SUPERVISING ENGINEER to join our team in Ukraine. This individual will aid in developing new maritime facilities for the Ukrainian Maritime Border Guard (MBG). Applicants should prepare to commit themselves to the project for a minimum one-year period.

 

Position requires fulltime location within Kyiv, Ukraine with frequent travel to other areas outside of Kyiv. Applicants from outside of Kyiv will be considered but must be willing to relocate.

 

Organization Overview

 

EGL is the prime contractor for the U.S. Department of Justice's International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) in Ukraine and has maintained a full-time presence in Ukraine since 2005 with the mission of developing capacities of multiple Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Over the past decade, ICITAP has conducted more than twenty law enforcement projects in Ukraine. ICITAP has missions in 33 countries worldwide supporting law enforcement training and capacity building in Central America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Pacific Asia.

 

Position Description:

 

 

  • Assist the Maritime Project Coordinator and provide local technical expertise for successful completion of maritime construction projects
  • Manage up to four (4) support staff
  • General technical oversight of maritime construction projects in accordance with project/design documents, construction regulations, technical specification, etc;
  • Compile weekly construction reports with photographs and observations for all active construction projects within the area of responsibility;
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring all contractors and procuring activities comply with pre-established quality control standards;
  • Responsible for compiling scopes of work for subcontractors at the direction of the Maritime Project Coordinator;

 

Position Requirements

  • Fluent English both written and spoken is mandatory
  • Higher education in maritime construction related field.
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in the construction/engineering of in-water and near-water structures.
  • Knowledge of underwater concrete construction, planning, and implementation of dredging projects is highly preferable.
  • Previous experience in successfully supervising and leading construction team(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel especially related to cost calculations, project management, and project scheduling.
  • Ability to develop, read, and interpret AUTOCAD drawings
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills
