Job Summary
Logistics Department is one of the main support functions that helps IMC Ukraine to maintain a strong team by applying all the rules and regulations as needed. Covering Procurement. Logistics, Fleet Management and warehousing.
All IMC vehicles in Ukraine are rented vehicles. Even though they are rented they should be considered as property of IMC and be treated with care and respect. Vehicles are reserved strictly for IMC work related activities (as outlined in the weekly manifest).
Driver should transport staff safely to various destinations in the country as required. Assists in collecting and delivering packages and loading items as required for the emergency response activities. Only IMC drivers are authorized to drive IMC rented vehicles.
Main responsibilities
Drives staff members safely to various destinations in the country as required. Drives staff from different department and assist them during emergency response activities.
Responsible for all vehicle loads related to the emergency response.
Coordinate with the logistics team and staff on items that need to be dispatched for the activities.
Liaises with Transport Logistics Officer on issues relating to the maintenance of operation of vehicles including daily entries in vehicle log books and ensures that vehicles are cleaned and fueled.
Ensure log books are signed by relevant passenger and properly filled.
Performs minor mechanical repairs on vehicle as required.
Reports any vehicle damage to Logistics & Security Manager immediately.
Reports any issues relating to the security of IMC staff or vehicles immediately
Submit reports to the Logistics & Security Manager immediately following any accident.
Carries out any other duties assigned by the Logistics Transport Officer and Logistics Coordinators.
Refer to IMC vehicle policy for more details, drivers should acknowledge and sign IMC vehicle policy upon joining the organization.
Minimum Requirements
Effective partnership and working relations in a multi-cultural , multi-ethical environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
Be at least 19 of age and possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years.
Should hold a full clean Ukrainian driving license
Have no medical condition that precludes the safe operation of an IMC vehicle.
Should be able to complete the Logbook and vehicle check list.
Hold a clean judicial record.
Adhere to Lebanon driving laws.
Aware of all car tool items that should be available in the car (first aid kit, jumper cables, fire extinguisher, spare tire, jack, tool kit, etc..., and ensure they are in full working order. Drivers must know the location of these items.
Be able to Report any safety issues with vehicles to the Logistics Transport Officer and Logistics Coordinator immediately.
Able to perform minor mechanical repairs on vehicles as required.
