Job description: Photographer /Video Operator

Position Photographer/ Video Operator on board vessels of Mein Schiff 1-6, MS Europa, MS Europa 2, MS Bremen, MS Hanseatic, Pullmantur

Organization The position holder is a member of guest service department subordinated to the Photo Manager

Duties

• Photographer: photography of events on board and in the ports /Video Operator: production of a reportage film showing the events and ports of the voyage
• Photographer: reportage photography of the voyage /Video Operator - filming and editing the production
• Photographer: photography for the ship owners/management as required /Video Operator: production and recording of information text for the film
• Photographer: presentation and sale of photographs /Video Operator: production of digital copies of the film (DVD, Blu-ray etc.)
• Photographer: presentation and sale of landscape photo reportage in digital form (CD, DVD etc.) /Video Operator: presentation and sale of digital copies of the film, passenger communication and contact
• responsible for cleanness and appearance of the display area and photo work areas
• maintenance of production equipment as necessary
• every crewmember will be informed on board about his safety duty in case of emergency
• all instructions and information will be given from safety officer and are written on muster list and personal safety card

Qualifications

• training and job experience as photographer or video operator
• references and/or certificates to demonstrate such experience
• Photographer: suitable digital photo camera and equipment needed for taking photos as listed in this description
• Photographer: skills in photo production and computer photo programs/ Video Operator: training and skills in digital film editing and editing programs
• reliability, honesty, trustworthiness
• good communication skills
• well-groomed appearance and good manners

Terms of work : Contracts from 4 to 5 months, salary 1100 - 1600 euros in a month; flight, uniform, medical insurance will be provided by the company. Perfekt English skills are obligatory, second language (German, French or Spanish) is very welcome! If your German is B2 level and higher - you will get a monthly bonus +200 euros.

Fees: Employment fee - 300 euros single-time. It needs to be payed just after you get your contract and fly details. We will help you to do all maritime documents and medical. Also you will get written guide according your duties on board. So you will be prepared for your job on board and get full support during all of your contracts.
