Euralis Semences is a part of the French agricultural group Euralis. After being founded by farmers in the south-west of France as early as 1936, the Euralis Semences has grown to become the leading seeds company in Europe. Its research programs are destined to 5 main species: corn, sunflower, sorghum, soybean and rapeseed.
Company announces a vacancy of Head of Sales Team.
Role Purpose:
- Lead Sales team in the country and ensure achievement of agreed sales targets in accordance with the strategies and objectives set for the business unit and crops.
- Contribute to the development of the strategic agenda as a member of the country management team
- Develop and maintain a high-performing sales organization.
Accountabilities:
1) Business Unit accountabilities:
- Working closely with Functional Heads of the Commercial Unit, develop sales force effectiveness measures based on standard indicators, consolidate data and report as necessary.
- Define sales targets based on current strategy and business plans. Measure Sales team's performance.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure that an appropriate customer segmentation exists and appropriate offers are defined and delivered.
- Act as a member of the country management team and contribute to the country strategic agenda.
- Act as an active member of the Sales community and contribute to the optimization and selective alignment of Euralis' commercial policies and price structure.
- Ensure that all relevant Euralis processes and policies are well understood and implemented by the sales team and, where necessary, by customers.
- Ensure compliance with country commercial policy, local legislation and competition law.
- Defend and promote the image of Euralis and represent Euralis in a professional and competent manner.
2) Transition accountabilities:
- Develop a locally tailored country sales structure and conduct appointment process within given global guidelines.
- Put in place the necessary activities to ensure business continuity during the transition.
- Develop Seeds sales forces, including the definition of new processes/ways of working, driving appointment process and fostering mindset change.
- Work with colleagues within the country, in the crop groups and global functions to develop effective governance and ways of working.
- Support the development of a change plan taking into account employees' engagement, team development and customer connection.
Requirements to the candidates:
- Higher education
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in Agribusiness
- Analytical thinking
- Financial acumen
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Innovation management
- People/team management
- Upper-Intermediate English level spoken and written
- Proven track record in sales and sales management
- Proven leadership skills and management experience
- Strong ability to understand customer needs, structure and business drivers
- Understanding of competitive environment
