Internal Control Manager

 CRH in Ukraine www.cemark.ua is seeking an Internal Control Manage, who will provide proactive, practical guidance to enable management to identify and understand their risk exposure while ensuring these risks are properly managed and mitigated by an integrated Internal Control Framework.

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

 - Be the subject matter expert for risk and internal control related matters for the businesses

- Critically review and assess internal controls operating within the business and collaborate with management in addressing weaknesses, mitigating risks and improving controls

- Conduct of SOX compliance testing (tier 1 and 3), propose modifications and simplification where practical

- Develop and conduct adequate training on internal control to business partners on a regular basis to build knowledge and understanding of risks and control

- Actively seeking standardization and automation, apply and implement best practices for managing internal controls and deploy innovative technology where possible 

- Actively engage with internal and external auditors to ensure that all relevant risks and audit findings are addressed timely

- Participation in special project on request (IC related topics)

-Ensure that policies/procedures in place are addressing all risks and are compliant with Group requirements (including implementation of policies for newly acquired business – as required)

-Co-ordination of investigations arising from hotline or otherwise – as required

-Conduct periodic advisory review of key business process cycles (inventory, procurement, sales, finance etc.) and IT systems (access rights, SoD etc.) to identify weaknesses and recommend corrective actions and identifying weaknesses and subsequent proposed solutions

-Develop and implement internal controls policies/procedures in newly acquired Operating Companies

 Requirements & Key competencies:

• Master’s degree in accounting, audit, finance or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in related roles in audit, accounting or industry, Big4 is a plus
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CIA, or be actively pursuing 
• Corporate governance, internal control, compliance (SOx) and audit testing 
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
• Experience with internal audit methodology and applying concepts in audit execution
• Risk evaluation and mitigation, linking risk and control frameworks to enterprise strategy
• Knowledge of all business operations of an industrial company
• SAP/other IT systems knowledge
• Solution orientated
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels and from all cultural backgrounds
• Able to efficiently manage workload, sense for priority / urgency, prepared to do ‘it’ all
