Middle Node.js Engineer, Educational Platform

DataArt’s client is a EU-based company, which works in the EdTech domain. Their main product is a well-known Learning Management System, designed to be a flexible training and education solution for other businesses.

The main task of DataArt’s team will be to augment the client team and take over the development cycle from business analysis and testing to development in one of client’s development teams. This is an already existing application with an extensive code base and it will be necessary for our specialists to sort it out.

The project team on the client side is 70+ people, including the 15 people from DataArt.

The processes are based on Agile development principles (Scrum, Kanban).

TECHNOLOGY STACK: VueJS, NodeJS, Express.js, MongoDB, Azure.

Requirements

— 5+ years of web development experience

— Experience working with Node.js Express

— Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES5, ES6) and TypeScript

— Knowledge of code testing techniques (including BDD, TDD)

— The ability to work with version control systems

— The ability to work with CI systems

— Good English

Nice to have

— Experience with Rest API

— Experience in implementing unit tests in JavaScript using Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Jest etc.

— Experience frontend (VueJS)
