Java Engineer, Communications Solutions

The client is an American company that's working in the communications solutions industry focused on large companies and corporations. They specialize in services for sending voice and text messages, notifications, organizing online conferences, alerts about natural disasters, creating interactive voice menus and newsletters, sending messages on a schedule, etc.

Development is conducted using a comprehensive stack of technologies: Java8, SpringBoot, Gradle, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis, RabbitMQ. The system's features are continuously expanding and getting supplemented with new opportunities as per requests of the company's customers.

We hire people not to a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Responsibilities

• Coding, unit testing, building new services
• Moving existing code to microservice architecture
• Solving not trivial tasks, testing code (Google-style)

Must have

• 3+ years of experience in programming with Java
• Commercial development experience
• Knowledge and experience with a relational database, MongoDB
• Solid knowledge SQL
• Good knowledge of Spring, Spring MVC
• Experience writing unit tests
• Good spoken English

Would be a plus

• Knowledge of RabbitMQ
