Senior PHP Developer

The client works in the fintech domain providing technology-enabled services to insurance companies and financial institutions. Their solution is a digital wholesale marketplace that connects these providers. The core team is based in Boston, USA and the project is in production already.

The client works with modern technologies, approaches, and methodologies. In this project, the following tech stack is used: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, Git, GitHub, LAM Stack, JSON, AWS, etc.

The work processes are SCRUM and Agile-based with weekly sprints.

We hire people not for a project but for the company. If the project (or your work on it) is over you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in the Information Technology industry
• Experience with PHP, JavaScript, and related technologies
• Experience developing with PHP frameworks (Laravel)
• Experience solving issues at all stages of web development
• Good knowledge of OOP, SOLID Principles, application system design from scratch
• Knowledge of platforms and technologies (LAMP: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Ajax, Docker, CSS, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum) teams
• Strong teamwork, decision-making skills, and collaboration skills
• Expertise in frontend and backend development
• Experience with object-oriented design and development
• Knowledge of database design (MySQL)
• Experience working with client/server systems
• Experience with cross-browser solutions and third-party system integrations
• Experience in the development of single-page applications
• Experience with optimizations/refactoring
• Good English 

Additional Competencies

• Experience developing with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React)
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS)
