Data Scientist, Engineering Services

Our client is an international oil and gas company, specializing in four market sectors: 

• Onshore Engineering & Construction, 
• Offshore Projects & Operations, 
• Engineering & Consulting Service, 
• Integrated Energy Services.

DataArt team works on a number of projects. One of them is building a brand new Data Analytics and Visualization platform for the client's TOP management team. We are gathering data from 3000+ sources, consolidate, visualize, and build predictions based on the data.

Another project involves automating the helpdesk system operations (where requests and complaints are processed) using machine learning.

Must have

• 7+ years of experience with SAS, Deep Learning, ML, ELT, SQL, data processing, database programming, NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, or data analytics
• Experience with programming languages: Java/Python is a plus
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of data mining and statistical analysis
• Understanding of various data structures and common methods used in data transformation
• Experience in using Machine Learning models: Ensemble Models, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Feature Engineering, Hyperparameters Tuning, Modelling, Model Metrics capturing and Validation, Preparation of Testing, Training, Validation set, Exploratory Data Analysis, Data Cleansing, and building custom libraries based on the requirements
• Technical knowledge on CNN, TNN, RNN, NLTK, and other ML related algorithms
• Experience in OpenCV, TensorFlow, Keras, Python, PyTorch, RASA, DL Algorithms, NVIDIA CUDA GPU Modeling, D3.js, and Tensorboard
• Pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills
• Experience building and maintaining data lakes: including ETL skills in Talend/Informatica or related middleware
• Focused on achieving results
• Project management skills, ability to balance multiple priorities without losing momentum
• Business partnership skills
• Spoken English

Would be a plus

• Published articles on Deep Learning models for Computer Vision, NLP
• Advanced studies in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or a related field
• Research experience in Deep Learning models for image processing or OCR related fields
