Senior .NET Developer, Global Media Commerce Company

Our client is a commercial media company with representative offices around the world that provides access to offers from more than 2000 travel and entertainment enterprises. It also provides reviews of the offered options, a selection with low prices, the ability to confirm the actual cost, a selection of offers based on the user's geo-position, and other parameters. Its service is used by more than 28 million people in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The DataArt specialist will be involved in several projects. One of them is for the improvement of the client's reporting system (metrics, analytics, etc.). Another is related to the construction of a single integrated data system (Data Warehouse). The processes are built according to Agile (SCRUM).

Responsibilities

• New features creation 30%-40%
• Maintenance / Bug fixing 30%-40%
• Meetings 10%-20% (routine project-related meetings)
• Client support 0%-5% (an occasional support ticket escalated to the development team)
• Document writing 0%-5% (documenting feature implementation)

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in development of commercial applications using .NET platform
• Experience working with MS SQL Server database management system
• Knowledge and experience working with C#, including the latest versions of ASP.NET MVC framework
• Experience in the software design
• Experience working with T-SQL, ASP.NET MVC / Web API / Web Forms, JavaScript/jQuery, ADO.Net, Entity Framework
• Experience integrating with web services (RESTful, SOAP)
• Experience in object-oriented programming (OOP), object-oriented design (OOD), and design patterns
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology and experience in teamwork using Scrum
• Experienced team worker
• Spoken English

Additional Competencies

• Experience working with components MS SQL (SSRS, SSIS)
• Experience using test-driven development (TDD)
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Angular.js, Backbone.js)
• Experience working with or knowledge of Windows services, CI/CD, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Micro ORM (Dapper), Reflection, CSS
• Experience working with foreign clients
• Microsoft certification
