DevOps Engineer with AWS Experience, Investment Solutions

Our client provides solutions for private trusts, they are focused on providing asset liquidity and specialized administration services for investors.

The client wants to migrate their ACE application from EngineYard to an AWS environment.

So the main goal is to provide the client with consulting, architectural design, and development for the new portal interface as well as to help develop lots of new additional features in order to improve the client experience.

The project team includes 15+ team members covering the main areas of the software delivery lifecycle: Solution Design, Business Analysis, Backend and Frontend Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of necessary pipelines and scripts in order to fully automate the propagation of infrastructure settings, code, and automation tests in AWS environments
• Communication with the internal development and testing teams
• Communication with the external infrastructure development teams (sometimes with the sellers of selected tools)
• Take a part in the POC of new tools/technologies
• Follow best practices for AWS configuration, organization, security, and access levels
• Actively participate in DR/HA activities

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with the implementation and management of continuous integration/continuous delivery systems on AWS platform (CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Jenkins, CheckMarx)
• Experience with complex cloud systems based on the AWS Serverless platform (CDN/CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, AWS Lambda C#, DynamoDB, MySQL Aurora, SNS, SQS, VPC/Networking)
• Experience in the configuration of monitoring, metrics, logging systems (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray, ELK, DataDog)
• Solid understanding of security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation (KMS, IAM, WAF, Secrets Manager, TokenEx, TwistLock)
• Experience with implementing systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform
• Strong self-organization skills in order to design, document, manage, and maintain the tools to automate operational processes
• Upper-intermediate English level
