Senior QA Automation Engineer, Financial System

DataArt's client is an international investment company. We're currently forming a team for developing a large financial system. The product team will consist of several dozen specialists who are responsible for the development of the product, analysis of user experience, creation of the calculation algorithms, interactions with clients, and the quality and reliability of the product.

The Senior QA Automation Engineer is responsible for performing quality assurance duties throughout the project lifecycle as well as developing new testing procedures for our existing applications. This role requires excellent communication skills with team members and business contacts. In addition, they must be able to work with minimal supervision on small and medium-sized projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for automation testing and scripting using Selenium and UFT. Able to support and enhance frameworks.
• Responsible for developing and guiding the testing procedures to ensure testing is efficient, effective and comprehensive
• Analyze existing testing frameworks and tools and be able to enhance automation scope
• Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impact, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for release
• Perform tests in terms of functionality, reliability, stress, and compatibility
• Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used
• Raise outstanding issues through established project management channels, as per the project plan
• Translate requirements into detailed test plans and test cases

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in automated testing
• Strong hands on in automation testing and scripting (Selenium and UFT)
• Understanding of Automation frameworks
• Proficient with any scripting language
• Proficient in Testing methodologies, Test case creation and Test Case management
• Be able to transform requirements to test cases with required coverage
• Proficient with any test management tool and defect management tool
• Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A committed individual with a positive attitude and driven to succeed
• Ability to understand and promote process improvements as needed
• Spoken English

Additional Competencies

• Experience working in an onshore/offshore delivery model
• Experience with Test Management tools, specifically JIRA
