Senior Java Engineer, Online Gaming Platform

Our client is the world leader in online gaming services. Their business is developing in several directions, most prominent ones are a betting exchange and online games (casino, poker, bingo). The betting center and the bookmaker run on their own software. 

The company's web services have mobile versions and native applications for iOS and Android and are used by more than two million players from 50 countries.

DataArt’s specialists are helping to develop new services and support existing ones. We have already created a client terminal: users, logged in the totalizer, can bet and track profits and losses.

Currently, we are putting together a team for expanding the features of the client's sites. You will be a part of a distributed team from Kharkov and Kherson. The primary technology is Java.

We hire people not to a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in the development of web applications
• 4+ years of production experience in Java
• Experience in the development of applications using the Java Enterprise platform
• Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP), object-oriented design (OOD), and design patterns
• Experience using test-driven development (TDD)
• Experience using object-relational mapping (ORM), IoC containers
• Experience working with Spring MVC, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery)
• Knowledge of build tools (Gradle, Maven)
• Experienced team worker
• Good spoken and written English

Additional Competencies:

• Experience using microservices
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular.js, Backbone.js, Bootstrap)
• Experience creating rich user interfaces (UI) based on HTML
• Experience with the installation and administration of application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, GlassFish)
• Experience using Continuous Integration systems (TeamCity, Bamboo, Jenkins, Gitlab CI)
