Data Engineer, Medical Appointment Scheduling Service

DataArt is assembling a team for a client that is developing a medical appointments booking platform. Forty percent of U.S. residents use its services in more than 2000 cities, and more than 10 million appointments a month are booked through the platform.

The data engineer will be involved in building the infrastructure for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing large data volumes.

The specialist will also assist in the development and implementation of data flows and tools necessary for making key strategic decisions, as well as for machine learning and personalization within the product.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years of experience with data in a cloud (preferably using AWS)
• Knowledge of SQL design; writing and maintaining complex ETL-based SQL queries
• Knowledge of one or several programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, JavaScript
• Experience with ETL design (implementation and maintenance)
• Experience in designing circuits and data models
• Well developed analytical skills to control data quality and identify gaps and inconsistencies
• Experience in machine learning
• Computer Science or a related degree
• Good spoken English

Additional Competences

• Experience in mentoring or leading a team
• A desire to conduct educational sessions on architecture and design
