Senior C++ Developer, Communications Services

Our client is a conglomerate of telecommunication companies. Its experts create tools for testing the performance of new solutions. These tools are used by service engineers and testers for assessing the quality of cellular networks, wired communication, etc. They create full cycle solutions, from software (deployed on the client's infrastructure) to hardware. Testing allows for building the topology of the client's network and evaluating it according to different parameters.

The user requirements for the solution's features are growing and the software is evolving. We're currently helping them with developing infrastructure projects. Among them is a desktop application that allows you to interact with users through the GUI and can act as an agent or service on a remote system. Another project is an application for managing agents: configuring functions, collecting data, and coordinating the work of agents.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience developing commercial applications on C ++
• Skills in OOP, OOD, and programming patterns (design patterns, Class Diagrams)
• Experience with and understanding of the principles of MS SQL and data transfer protocols (REST, SOAP, WebSockets)
• Experience with remote development and debugging, fluency in Linux command line tools
• Experience with administering Unix based servers
• Familiarity with core technology of Android devices, experience with Samsung devices is preferred
• Familiarity with the boot loader of Android OS
• Familiarity with the Android OS build system, ability to customize Android OS, rebuild and reinstall it to a Samsung handset
• Familiarity with Android kernel hardware driver mechanism
• Independence and proactivity

• A desire to study and develop a complex product
• Good communication skills
• Good spoken English

Additional Competences

• Experience with Python, Bash
• Basic understanding of the design and functioning of computer networks
• Understanding of the internal design of protocols on different levels (eg IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, VoIP, etc.)
• Experience in optimizing the work of operating systems and applications
• Experience with the OS system and hardware levels
• Knowledge of best-practice programming
• Experience in using STL and Boost
• Experience working in large projects
