Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Controlling and Finance Departments of the locations to ensure timely payment of supplier invoices
- Support Corporate Procurement Team and standardization efforts and programs
- Identify and pursue opportunities for cost reduction
- Provide guidance in the development of aggressive cost reduction goals, cost containment purchasing programs and timelines for Category Specialists in Strategic Sourcing
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO)
- For locations leveraging Maximo for inventory – partner to identify opportunities to share parts across sites, issue warehouse reorder PO’s
- Acts as a liaison with EE Hub Procurement and other departments on purchasing matters, including the scheduling of orders, selection of products, and similar or related issues.
- Resolves issues related to delivered quantity discrepancies, pricing, logistics, and contracts, etc.
- Preparation of the contract, participation in contract negotiations in accordance with Global Non-Commodity Procure-to-Pay Policy and Local SOP
- Organization of import deliveries, communication with broker companies and customs clearance
- Address any and all invoices assigned to the Buyer
- Ensure accurate item or standard service number usage on all PO’s
- Ensure contracted vendors are being utilized on all PO’s
Job Requirements:
- Experienced in operational / technical procurement: to understand how to bring savings and the logics of purchasing. Experience at production facility is an advantage, but not a must.
- The buyer should be able to conclude domestic and foreign contracts, and be familiar with customs clearance procedure. There’s a broker who is doing all customs clearance things, but the buyer will need to coordinate the process anyway.
- Experienced with import activities is a good advantage (import of spare parts and sometimes of personal protection equipment).
- Fluent English is a must (for intracompany communication with strategic sourcing managers, EU management and peers from other locations).
- Self-driven and motivated player able to make purchasing decisions on their own
- Having experience in an ERP (enterprise resources planning system, = the system which is used at the location to create Purchase Orders) is a an advantage (e.g., SAP, Maximo, any other).
- Good soft skills and ability to find common language with different people.
- Ability to conduct negotiations and bring good savings results to the Company.
- Willingness to develop and grow professionally.
- Skilled in cost/benefit analysis and alternative decision making.
- Team oriented.
