Legal Counsel

Role

Legal Counsel supports Nextiva by advising key stakeholders on legal solutions to address a wide range of commercial matters related to the company's business. He/she is providing Amazing Service to our internal customers and supporting the company's day-to-day operations from a legal perspective.

Details

Please see below the key responsibilities of a  Legal Counsel at Nextiva Ukraine:

• Supporting the legal function for Nextiva in Ukraine and providing continuous legal support to local and global management and teams;
• Regulatory / tax compliance and corporate governance in Ukraine;
• Managing the contract process; drafting/reviewing/ negotiating the contracts and other legal documents: vendor/procurement contracts, lease contracts, NDAs, PoAs, legal correspondence, company procedures and policies, corporate documents, etc.;
• Researching and advising on legal issues, processing legal requests from the teams on commercial, tax, employment law, etc.;
• Monitoring regulatory updates, advising and drafting advice for leadership and other teams;
• Supporting foreign employees of the company with employment and immigration matters;
• Collaborating with legal team at US headquarters;
• Supporting international expansion of the Company;
• Supporting the business partners of Nextiva's affiliates in Ukraine on various services-related matters;
• Disputes resolution and litigation management in Ukraine;
• Managing relationships with the company vendors, external legal counsels, notaries, local and government authorities; representing the company in communications, negotiations and at the meetings
• Driving the change and being proactive with other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

• Law degree;
• Excellent legal research / analysis / review / drafting skills;
• Solid skills in contracts, commercial and international law;
• Strong communication skills;
• Advanced English;
• Experienced Microsoft Office user;
• Tax/litigation expertise is a plus;
• 3+ years of legal experience with a law firm or in-house.
