Business Development Manager (Road transportation)

We are currently searching an experienced and passionate team player who will represent the DSV Global Values: Customers, Performance and Colleagues by joining our team in Kyiv as Business Development Manager.

Key tasks and responsibilities

The focus of this role is to achieve agreed new sales/growth targets for Road logistic services. To identify opportunities for business growth within existing Road networks, manage relationships and business development and contribute to the overall profitability.

  • Attract new customers in transportations by Road (FTL, LTL international and domestic)
  • Work pro-actively within customer base improving awareness of Road offerings.
  • Research and identify key customers from local, International markets and sources.
  • Work within network of Road community to ensure collaboration around target accounts.
  • Conduct joint calls with DSV Team Members to improve awareness of DSV's Road 'value adds'
  • Develop and maintain customer data base
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects
  • Contract negotiations
  • Profit maximization
  • Tender, proposal and contract development
  • Stakeholder account and relationship management

  • Opportunity analysis and qualification
  • Fulfill reporting requirements including but not limited to CRM Tool management

 Skills and Experience

 Minimum five years’ experience in international freight forwarding, specializing in Road, trade lanes & customers

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a senior sales/business development role with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to time-manage
  • Highly motivated
  • Advanced computer Literacy level in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Added Advantages for this role

  • Sales training courses
  • English level: Upper Intermediate
