AIM OF THE POSITION
The Medical planner based in Kyiv provide Logistics services and support to ICRC assistance programs in areas of order management, supply chain planning, warehousing, stock management, in accordance with the ICRC's logistics standards and local legislation.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning: participate in project designs, anticipate needs for supplies, carry out the procurement for projects, and keep abreast of changes in medical supplies in close cooperation with the Health Department
- Supply chain management and purchasing, using local suppliers where possible
- Inventory control: analyze demands, prepare regular forecasts, calculate replenishment orders and initiate procurement accordingly
- Stores and stock management: manage stores ensuring security and maintenance, and making sure that stocks are kept in proper storage conditions
- Distribution management: ensure accurate and complete documentation is prepared for all consignments
- Customer service: act as a focal point for the assistance staff
- Quality control
- Reporting
- Staff management and training
REQUIREMENTS
Education and professional qualifications
- University degree or equivalent professional experience in logistics and supply chain management
- Good command (spoken and written) of English
- Computer proficiency
- Minimum two years' professional experience in logistics (humanitarian experience an asset)

- Fully conversant with IT tools
- Strongly motivated by humanitarian work

- Able to cope with stress, at times in dangerous environments
