    The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.


    The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 13,000 field staff.


    In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence to Ukraine. There are more than 300 ICRC staff working in Kyiv, Sloviansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa.

    Based in Mariupol





    • Enhances networking efforts with the local population concerning mine risk
    • Implements the Safe Behavior and Risk Awareness program including provision of mine risk education sessions to the population
    • Maintains contacts with external interlocutors such as authorities at municipal level, local RC branches and enhances networking at a community level.
    • Undertakes written reporting on activities, including contribution to institutional reporting
    • Translates non-institutional documents
    • Executes field tasks mainly independently


    The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.




    • College or university degree
    • Two years working experience in a similar field of activity
    • At least three years overall professional experience (including one year working experience in the same field)
    • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
    • Excellent computer knowledge, including skills to collect spatial data, using Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Capacity to adhere to and to implement internal procedures
    • Good communication skills
    • Good knowledge of the geographical area designed
    • Excellent teaching and presentation skills
