The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 13,000 field staff.

In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence to Ukraine. There are more than 300 ICRC staff working in Kyiv, Sloviansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa.

Based in Kyiv




  • Verifies data's from accounting documents using standard procedures and registers them in the computer
  • Executes the monthly closing according to given procedures and under supervision
  • Participates in the analyses on cash flow needs
  • Ensures respect of financial procedures and guidelines
  • Handles bookkeeping for small / medium financial operations
  • Reconciles accounts in ERP system JD Edwards
  • Assists in checking of supporting documents and encoding of payment orders in Internet banking system
  • Prepares mobile phone deductions file
  • In charge of preparation and submission of VAT report
  • Prepares monthly rent payments
  • Establishes and ensures accurate bookkeeping and archiving with appropriate supporting documents

The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.




Education and professional qualifications

  • High education in the relevant field or equivalent professional certification
  • 2 years work experience in a similar field of activity
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Good computer knowledge
  • SAP, JD Edwards (ORACLE) or other ERP system knowledge and experience is highly desirable
  • Capacity to adhere to and to implement procedures
