    The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

     

    The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 13,000 field staff.

     

    In 2014, the ICRC opened its office in Donetsk. Today around 90 employees work for the ICRC in Donetsk.

    SECRETARY (Economic Security Department)

    Donetsk based

     

    AIM OF THE POSITION

     

    Assists in the smooth functioning of the Economic Security department, namely :

    • Assisting in general administrative tasks, arrangement activities;
    • Data collection and reporting;
    • Maintaining proper records system in the Department;

     

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Focal point for information management. Keep up to date all the Department's databases related to ongoing programs
    • Focal point for managing the Department's Hotline. She/ he provides accurate feedback to beneficiary questions/problems, reports general trends of community feedback.
    • Supports the field team in all administrative and logistical aspects of the program (Field trip notifications, requisition orders, distribution plans and other similar tasks)
    • Supports / accompanies the head of Department in different meetings with other humanitarian actors, local authorities (upon the request) and contributes to the reporting on field trips or meetings
    • Prepare progress, statistics or other reports
    • Maintain records system, supervise and ensure that all the Department's documents are properly filed

    The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.

     

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

     

    Education and professional qualifications

    • Business college/graduate in Economics, Law or similar field of study;
    • Experience in a similar field of activityis an advantage;
    • Fluent in written and spoken English, Ukrainian, and Russian;
    • Computer literacy;

     

    Personal Competencies

    • Genuine interest to work in humanitarian aid field;
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and take initiative;
    • Assertiveness and enthusiasm;
    • Strong sense of responsibility;
    • Rigor, method and analyticalskills;
    • Good communication skills;
    • Good team player.
