Head of Learning and Development


    Head of Learning and Development is responsible for leadership and employee development and training in the Bank. He/she establishes and communicates learning and development goals and objectives and defines concepts, methodologies, tasks, and activities of the learning and development function. He/she partners with HR and business leaders to focus on solutions to build necessary skills and competencies in the workforce.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and evaluate internal and external programs to create a formal, ongoing, training and development process for management and employees

    • Identify training and development requirements by conducting needs analysis, job requirements, operational problems, Bank's plans and forecasts, and current training programs

    • Lead the translation of the Bank's strategy into thoughtful and innovative talent management plans and objectives, including performance management and employee growth, leadership development, and succession planning

    • Lead management onboarding and targeted orientation initiatives

    • Liaise with division teams to create training programs in line with business needs

    • Align segment-wide training and development initiatives with business strategies and cultural initiatives

    • Prepare overall budgets for learning and development activities and annual training plan in the Bank

    • Communicate with business partners and line managers to determine and deliver training priorities

    • Design and implement effective, results -driven training and development strategies

    • Provide leadership with executive learning and leadership development initiatives and programs

    • Enhance organizational performance with learning and development activities

    • Partner with business leaders to support development needs

    • Strategically align learning and development programs with the Bank's objectives and employees' personal goals and professional growth

    • Develop training programs, facilitate implementation of appropriate change management initiatives, and review current development programs to ensure adherence to the Bank's goals

    • Develop and maintain competency frameworks and models, providing comprehensive development tools for each competency

    • Continually encourage employee development

    • Design, plan, advise and implement succession planning, leadership development, and career development plans

    • Develop methods and tools (metrics) to measure development and training initiative impact and effectiveness of the training programs across the organization

    • Lead and mentor the training and development (T&D) team

    • Maintain current industry information, including new thinking and new approaches, and regularly communicate to management and staff as appropriate


    Minimum Requirements

    • Master's degree in human resources or related field- 7-10+ years of experience in HRM, Training and Development, Talent Management or related field- At least 5 years of managerial experience
    • Min. 5 yrs experience as a trainer
    • Good understanding of training practice and learning psychology in a large organisation environment which is geographically dispersed
    • Experience in building and delivering a broad talent management agenda with specific subject matter expertise in performance management, leadership development, learning and development, assessment, career planning and development.
    • Fluent English and Ukrainian (oral and written)
    • Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint




    • Certification in facility management, coaching or similar field is desirable
