Junior PR & Event Coordinator

Our marketing team is looking for an ambitious and passionate junior PR & event coordinator who is not afraid to grow rapidly, but sustainably, with 500+ beets in Ukraine and Sweden. 

Just imagine, you will be a part of a Swedish-Ukrainian IT company whose main goal is to become the most socially impactful company in Ukraine over the next 10 years. Beetroot is a company that cares about mental health, initiates internal and external environmental projects, and ultimately builds dedicated teams for product companies around the world. You will be joining a cozy and homey work atmosphere where wearing slippers is essential.

Over the past 6 months, our team has gathered more than 1000 participants in online community meetups, been mentioned in 50 publications from key Ukrainian media outlets, and contributed to Beetroot's inclusion among the TOP-50 companies in Ukraine. 

Now, we need you to double these outcomes by creating even more exciting PR projects! 

What we're looking for: 

• All of the character buzzwords: energetic, keen, organized, humble, dynamic, autonomous, team player, and, most importantly, a self-starter. But you don't have to be perfect. After all, who is? 

• A natural communicator with a basic understanding of journalism, as well as media and modern communication practices in the IT industry. Someone who is interested in technology and society, and considers them interconnected in building a better future.

• Someone who is comfortable speaking and writing in English. You'll work with an internationally-minded team!

• Work experience in marketing or PR spheres for 1+ year. You are ready and energized to study new tools, run experiences, think outside the box and grow! 

What you will do, in general:

• Develop and support media relations 

• Write comments, notes, articles and press releases 

• Organize external offline and online events among 7 Beet homes (offices) in Ukraine - from meetups to conferences

• Together with a PR mentor, work on PR strategy development and implementation, merchandise production, and develop new, fresh ideas

Your role will help strengthen Beetroot's brand in Ukraine, as well as build close relationships with the media, partners and associations, developer communities and opinion leaders around us. 

You will work as a part of the career marketing team and closely with the Senior PR & event coordinator, who will support you along the way.
