Senior Java Engineer

Zoral Labs, a leading provider of research and development to the software industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join its development center in Kyiv.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative Big Data solutions including ETL, data warehouses, data marts and data feeds

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java Core
• Solid knowledge of SQL
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles and patterns
• Unit testing
• Data warehouses and data marts design principles and best practices
• Experience with ETL, real-time Big Data processing/analytics
• Google Cloud Platform would be a plus, including:
• DataFlow;
• BigQuery;
• StackDriver;
• Source code version control: Git
• Degree in computer sciences, mathematics, physics or related discipline

Other skills

• Scala knowledge is a plus
• Passion for innovation, technology and customer experience
• Result-oriented mindset
• Independent, research focused, with strong balance for team-work
• Good both spoken and written English (Intermediate or higher)
• Good communication skills (speaking, writing)
• Active UK visa would be a plus
• Positive attitude
