Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for category strategy development and delivering strategic commercial agreements in the Indirect Technical Category of Capital, CAPEX, MRO & Spare Parts, Logistics, Trade furniture & IT, Direct materials;
- Support category buyers in applying global standard processes, offering advice and guidance as necessary;
- Responsible for ensuring early procurement engagement in significant spend areas to maximise procurement's impact;
- Develop deep category, product and supplier knowledge to drive continuous improvement within the categories managed;
- Ensure contingency planning is in place for all key suppliers / services within categories owned;
- Manage relationships and performance of key strategic suppliers;
- Undertake adequate analysis and planning to enable effective supplier negotiations which deliver a world class cost base;
- Responsible for tracking category benefits and finalizing savings;
- Planning, coordination and realization of procurement projects to drive continuous improvement within the procurement function.
- Develop relationships and continually work with key stakeholders ensuring that commercial delivery and internal service are equally balanced
Key Requirements:
- Higher education (University degree preferably with a numerical basis);
- Minimum 2-3 years Category Leadership in FMCG company on a managerial level;
- Fluent oral and written English;
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel ,Word and Power Point;
- SAP, Oracle or other ERP experience preferred;
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills are essential;
- Excellent people management skills;
- Good analytical and creative problem solving skills;
- Excellent organizational/ communication skills (both internally and externally);
- Team player, self-driven, taking initiative, flexible and enthusiastic.
