Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Junior System Administrator who will be part of the Information Technologies Organization.

As a Junior System Administrator, you will provide a first line support in HelpDesk, server and network equipment services.

Key responsibilities: 

1. Resolve first line user issues, escalating to the Senior System Administrator when needed.
2. Maintain service logs security incident reports using remote access tools.
3. Support new location installations when required.
4. Support new software and hardware rollouts as part of project management delivery
5. Implement and carry out responsibilities in line with established procedures and standards as detailed in SOP’s and other operational documentation.
6. Install, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software.
7. Implement and monitor PC standards and procedures.
8. Facilitate back-up and recovery.
9. Install, test and support services for network operating efficiency and implements and monitors procedure for security and disaster recovery.
10. Monitor systems availability and escalate issues to resolve in a timely manner.
11. Identify where improvements, time saving, and cost-effective changes can be made.
12. Contribute to the implementation of Global IT driven projects.

What will you need to be successful in your job?

1. Demonstratable experience in a similar level role
2. Knowledge and experience in global, multi-site, multi-cultural organization
3. Experience of working in a managed services environment or as part of an IT team in a medium to large business
4. Hands-on experience with first line IT support

Education and work experience:

1. Higher technical education in the field of IT
2. Total working experience - 3 years
3. Related working experience - 2 year

Professional knowledge and skills:

1. Good experience in Windows Server administration 2008-2019 (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, IIS)
 2. Infrastrucure monitoring tools
3.  Good experience in networking (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
4.  Knowladge in virtualization is an advantage (VMWare, Hyper-V)
5.  1C8 administration (as an advantage)
