Job Title: Sponsorship & Sales Executive — Wind Energy

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the company CEO and working closely with our wind energy team (conference producer and researcher) the full-time Sponsorship & Sales Executive is responsible for the development, implementation, and fulfillment of all sponsorship sales for The Voice of Renewables' wind energy events or events where wind energy plays a significant role.

This key role is responsible for establishing the strategies and philosophies that will drive the sales and plans to achieve targeted revenue objectives, ensuring that decisions drive the long-term success of the department and The Voice of Renewables.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create sponsorship opportunities (event marketing packages) for wind energy events, and cultivate, procure, and manage sponsors, exhibitors, display vendors, and paying participants.
  • Cultivate and manage strong business relationships with current and potential sponsors, exhibitors, and paying participants.
  • Meet and exceed projections, schedules, and timelines provided by the company CEO.
  • Identify and prioritize sponsorship opportunities including, but not limited to, all signage and event inventory.
  • Manage Sponsor and Vendor relationships via quality communication and other incentives (occasional interviews, press-release updates and other kinds of soft promotion of exhibiting sponsor.
  • Contact prospective companies and individuals to initiate the sales effort. Follow up on leads generated subscriptions to our database, updates from companies' press releases, news on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and in industry media as well as events by other providers.
  • Schedule meetings and prepare, customize, and present sponsorship sales proposals to potential sponsors.
  • Negotiate and compile sales contracts and agreements.
  • Deliver requested information to potential sponsors in a timely manner.
  • Lead in the negotiations of building sponsors.
  • Assist in the preparation and design of sponsorship sales brochures, pamphlets, advertisements, or other sales materials.
  • Support and participate in business and industry-related events as per directions from the CEO.
  • Participate in and attend industry workshops and seminars.
  • Attend The Voice of Renewables' events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff meetings, including other meetings as requested.
  • Network with staff in related industries.
  • Follow the news, updates, and press releases from relevant companies.
  • Constantly extend the list of potential sponsors or exhibitors.

Work Relationship and Scope:

  • Effective communication skills and development of good working relationships with staff, prospective, existing clients, and strategic partners.
  • Achievement of objectives as set in the Sales Plan, within the established timelines.
  • Increase wind energy industry engagement and brand awareness.
