For this position, MDM FR would like to remind that a good English language command is mandatory : Therefore, applications in English shall be considered in priority.

MAIN TASKS:

 To ensure the implementation of the process for the procurement, stock management and dispensing of pharmaceutical products, in compliance with national and international regulatory constraints and in line with MdM’s good practice.

 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

 ROLES:

  1. Qualitative medical activities
  • Monitor and analyse consumption
  • Manage alerts and incidents concerning pharmaceutical products (batch recalls, quarantine, etc.)
  • Participate in the quality review of practices by analyzing prescriptions

 2.  Pharmaceutical stock management

  • Ensure the daily supply of the mobile teams, from the field pharmacy
  • Estimate the need for medical supplies and consumables and plan purchases, in link with the health coordinator or the partner, for the field and central pharmacies
  • Support the partner on the pharmaceutical stock management, for the medical goods supplied through the project
  • In partnership with the logistics service and the partner, ensure regular supplies for bases and activities: prepare orders for resupplies/donations, draft transport documents, ensure delivery if necessary
  • In collaboration with the health coordinator, prepare medical orders according to MdM's intervention strategy and the needs expressed by the health structures
  • Receive and check pharmaceutical product orders and organize / supervise the organization of stock at field and central level
  • Organize pharmacy stocks and control/check the organization and storage conditions of the pharmacy in line with standards, implement corrective actions, at field level and central level
  • Implement and monitor pharmacy stock management tools
  • Organise and control inventories
  • Supervise the destruction of pharmaceutical products
  • In collaboration with the health coordinator, manage specific stocks (emergency bag, contingency stocks, PEP kit, etc.) 

 3. Data and reporting

  • Compile, analyze, monitor, and communicate pharmacy data
  • Draft activities reports

The list of tasks is not intended to be exhaustive and other tasks may be requested by the line supervisor. In addition, a certain degree of flexibility and adaptability is expected from the collaborator according to the potential evolution of the mission's constraints

 CONDITIONS OF THE JOB:

 Position based in Mykolaiv, with regular trips to Odessa.

 CONTEXT:

Three MdM chapters are directly implementing activities in Ukraine:

  • MdM Spain has the lead for global MdM response in the country and covers Kiev and surroundings, Donbass, Kharkiv, Zaporidja
  • MdM Germany covers Dnipro and Vinitsia
  • MdM France covers the Southern part, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson

 In Mykolaiv oblast, MdM-F supports Mykolaiv Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) in restoring access to primary health care and Mental Health and Psychosocial Services (MHPSS) for populations affected by the conflict. The component of sexual and reproductive health, as well as Gender Based Violence is part of this project.

 SKILLS REQUIRED:

Training and experience

  • Paramedic diploma with proven experience in pharmacy stock management
  • Similar experience or a minimum of 2 years in a private pharmacy or international NGO

 Skills

  • Understand and use pharmacy management standards, procedures, and pharmacy management tools. 
  • Plan orders according to timescales, anticipate need, lack of stock and excess stock. 
  • Understand the management cycle of pharmaceutical products
  • Understand national and international tools and reference frameworks
  • Draft reports on the area of intervention to document monitoring and traceability.
  • Write professional reports, collect, and analyze data, organize, classify and communicate information 
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team 
  • Speak the language of the target audience 
  • Adapt communication to the audience
  • Know how to approach a cultural and social context. Identify and understand a society’s norms, customs, and practices
  • Use the Office pack and pharmaceutical stock management tools (SAGA stock, Excel, etc.)

  • Contract Type: Fixed term contract
  • Duration: 6 months (possibility for extension)
