YOUR ROLE IS:
- As a Unity Animator you will be working with the technical artist, Animator Director and the Art Director. Core Tasks and activities will revolve around creating performant animation and effects in Unity3D for Mobile, developing and animating particle systems, Screen transitions, UI, building and texturing simple 3D mesh, packing texture sheets, Characters Animations and assembling Unity prefabs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years experience doing animations for games in unity
- At least 2 years of experience doing animation in Maya.
- Strong problem-solving methodology and mind-set
- Ability to communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions
- Solid knowledge of Unity animation processes, including Timeline and particle systems
- Solid understanding of cameras, lighting, and shaders in Unity
- Experience with asset optimization for the efficient use of resources on the web and mobile platforms
- Familiarity with Textures and UV-mapping techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with After effects is a plus
- Familiarity with Spine animation is a plus
- Good level of English is a must (Verbal and Writing)
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Being actively involved in the game creation process by interacting with the Game Designer, Animation Director and Art Director.
- Maintaining a superior level of quality.
- Producing the various animation sets for characters, creatures and other game assets according to design/gameplay needs, while adhering to the established visual identity and animation direction - The animations vary, from character animations to game assets to intro animations, VFX and transitions.
- Creating believable, high-quality animations and directly participating in implementing them in games
- Working with Mobile games oriented Character and Assets rigs
- Ensuring close collaboration with the 3D artists and the team's technical leads to contend with constraints related to production.
- Ensuring that there is constant communication between the various departments
- Contributing to the art pipeline while understanding target platform constraints.
- Meeting project deadlines/milestones as set by project leads.
- Providing guidance and training to junior animators.
